Greetings! My name is Mekel Blash from the beautiful island of St. Thomas. I’m in Virginia prison on contract, but I’m born & raised islander. I have a beautiful 9 year old daughter who I haven’t personally met yet since she was born after falling in prison. She’s the reason for my behaving so I may get home to her soon. My max out date is 2027. I go up for parole every June & December and I’m doing my best to get home to her. Even though I got denied before, I’m not letting it get me down. I just look forward to the next 6 months.
It has been very lonely being in Virginia away from home. It’s kinda the reason I grew courage to get on this site. I like to talk a little bit about the right things. I might also find a friend in someone who is wiling to share their day + thoughts with me and vice versa. It would also be nice to get my mind to wonder outside these walls when I’m not listening to my reggae music. I won’t get too crazy. I’ll say something to email or talk about it if I’m found out to be likeable. TY!Â
